D2: Being Part of a Group
Welcome back for day 2 of overnight camp!
After a quick wakeup and breakfast meal this morning our campers kicked off the day with a camp-wide game of “Human Tracker”, a hide-and-seek/tag game to get everyone wide awake and ready for the rest of the day.
After that we split up into groups and got into our daily Social Skills activities! Today’s focus was “being in a group”, so Head Counsellor Neptune led her campers through “Rhythm Master”, a game that teaches our kids about the importance of groups, getting along within them, and navigating the social expectations they bring.
Meanwhile Head Counsellor Prism played Bucketball with her kids, teaching them the importance of taking turns, and looking out for their friends to make sure everyone was included.
After a lovely tomato-basil soup lunch and a nice rest hour to get everyone rejuvenated, we all went to our respective choice activities; Archery, rock climbing, or spa day!
Following some free time and other fun activities our campers enjoyed some pizza for supper, giving us all the energy we needed for our evening camp-wide game: capture the flag!
With another phenomenal day wrapped up, we were all more than happy to hit the hay!
See ya’ll tomorrow!
