Grotto Canyon Hike

Happy Tuesday and welcome to another amazing day at POLARIS!

The energy was high today as we prepared for our day hike to Grotto Canyon. But before the group hit the trail, they spent time packing their bags, answering some ‘Would you Rather’ questions and playing kickball.

Next we loaded into the camp vans and headed to the trail! Grotto Canyon is a popular day hike just outside of Exshaw that offers stunning views of the Bow Valley, centuries old petroglyphs and a waterfall. Despite being a short hike, the group showed great resiliency and teamwork when the hike got tough. The initial uphill trek had the group out of breath and when the sun came out we all got a bit sweaty. Despite these challenges, the group worked together and checked in on one another to make it through. It was all worth it when we had a satisfying lunch near the misting waterfall.

After the hike, the group relaxed near the water at Grotto Pond. It was a satisfying way to end a full day of hiking and fun.
