DC 3 Welcome to Camp Amicus

Welcome Campers to Camp Amicus! We are so glad for you to be here to begin and embark on our journey at camp! We start off with announcements where campers are introduced to counselors as well as some rules for camp. The three Rs are introduced Respect yourself, others and the environment!

Afterwards we head towards our Camp Wide Game. Today’s game was Cardio Pictionary, where campers run to get a word and try to draw it out. Camp Wide Alt campers drew and colored as well!

After fluids in and out we head towards the camp room where campers get 2;6 time with their group, to make a group contract where they write down things they want to see at camp and things they don’t want outside of the bubble. Campers also started working on their braids for camp!

After a lunch break campers head towards their choices that they got to pick early this morning at announcements. Today’s choices were water games, bead animals and lawn games!

We end off the day with steps in the right direction, Steps or step stickers are a chance for campers and counsellors to recognize amazing things that campers have done today. It could be trying out a new sport or being a good friend! Steps are given in the form of paw print stickers!
