Our Camp Wide Game was Cardio Pictionary! Cardio Pictionary is just like Pictionary but campers are tasked with tagging a counselor to get the word and draw it out to their 2;6 group! This game gets the energy flowing to start off the day on the right page.
After a quick transition campers head towards social skill. Today’s social skill was zones of regulation.
Zone of regulations focus is on the individuals mood/zone they are in. Red zone is angry, overwhelmed. Blue zone is sad, tired. Yellow zone is excited, anxious. Green zone is happy, relaxed. Putting these moods into zones helps campers identify how they are feeling and make it more recognizable.
Campers had a ball and tossed it to another camper and said an emotion, the camper who recieved the ball needed to say what zone it was in
Another activity was creating tile art from our zones of regulation. Counselors gave campers a situation and they would draw on the tile using the color to represent what zone they are in.
Campers refuel for a snack break for campers and we are off to clubs.
The sports club today played belly baseball, art club made animals and drawings, science club made unpoppable bubbles!
Campers have lunch and head towards choice afterwards! Choices were making comics, water games and archery.
We end off the day with steps, cannot wait to see everyone tomorrow its going to be a hot one!
