DC 4 Being Part of a Group
The suns a blazin and its day 5 at camp amicus… today we are venturing off to Telus Spark where we will be exploring all things science!
Today’s Camp Wide Game was Phobia, where counsellors make up a phobia and campers are supposed to guess their phobia based on the counsellors reaction and bring them back to the goal. Campers were fearless today!
After Camp Wide Game Campers have a quick snack and transition towards their Social Skill!
Being part of a group was today’s social skill, campers start off by playing rhythm master as they sit in a circle one camper is the rhythm master tasked with starting the rhythm and changing it. IT is up to the dectivive to figure out who is the rhythm master, campers work together to throw off the dectative as it is a group effort to win!
Another activity campers played was charades, where counsllers give campers an action to act out and campers learn to communicate non verbal as well as verbal to get across the charade they are doing as well as trying to figure out other campers charades!
Campers got to make bling to add to their braids from fuzzy pipe cleaners!
We end off our day at the Telus Spark Center ! Can you believe it? It feels like just yesterday we were all meeting for the first time, and now here we are, on the second-last day of camp. Time really does fly when you’re spending time making memories and experiences that will last a life time! It’s not over just yet though… kangaroo court is tomorrow and someone is getting slimed…
