DC 4 Welcome to Camp Amicus

Welcome to Camp Amicus! The beginning of camp is like the beginning of a movie we know it’ll end with great memories but its all about the journey there and the current moment that is most important! We start off our day with introductions to our counsellors and campers as well going over some ground rules such as the three Rs of Respect. Respecting ourselves, each other and the environment around us!

The gates are open and we are off after morning announcements everyday we head towards the main field for our Camp Wide Game! Today’s game is Cardio Pictionary where campers chase after and tag the counsellor to get a prompt to draw back for their team to guess.

After Camp Wide Game Campers head towards the camp room to have sometime with their 2:6 group! Campers made their braids for camp bling they are going to make later this week. Campers also made a camp group contract where campers write the things they want to see this week at camp and things they do not want to see at camp! This is also a time where campers get to know each other better as well for free time in the gym!

Campers head towards a much needed lunch break to refuel and are off to their choices for the day! During announcements campers are introduced to choices where they get to pick out of three choices every morning! Today’s choices are Gaga ball, Fort dodgeball and Macaroni art!

At Camp Amicus we end the day with steps in the right direction! Campers and counsellors give out step stickers for anyone they thought did something amazing in camp today! We will see you tomorrow!
