Campers head to Camp Wide Game in full force to play… forcefield where campers are split in two groups, one hide flags where they protect them as a forcefield and the other group goal is too penetrate the forcefield and get all the flags across to the otherside!

Campers head towards their first Social Skill of the week where campers learn valuable lessons about socializing and skills they can apply to their forward in the future.

Todays Social Skill is Zones of Regulation! Zone of regulations focus is on the individuals mood/zone they are in. Red zone is angry, overwhelmed. Blue zone is sad, tired. Yellow zone is excited, anxious. Green zone is happy, relaxed. Putting these moods into zones helps campers identify how they are feeling and make it more recognizable.

Counsellors begin giving campers a situation and campers start with trying to identify what zone they would be in that situation. One of the questions asked was how would you feel going into a new school trying to make friends, one of the campers went into the blue zone because it would be scary that they might not be liked! If they got a situation correct in the right zone they would get a free kick at one of the counsellors.

Campers also went for a nature walk to think about their happy place, and relax to help understand how to regulate emotions. Campers got to make zones of regulation fortune tellers as well as stress balls to help them regulate emotions going forward!
