ON 4 Wednesday: What Others Are Feeling
Welcome to our third day of camp!
Time is flying by so fast here and the days are just getting better and better!
This morning we woke up with our usual polar bear dip then went inside for breakfast where we had “Peaceful Pancakes.” Whenever a food we have starts with a “P” we make sure that the dining hall is nice and quiet while we eat. After we ate we had a bit of 2:7 time to get ready for the day aswell as to play some back pocket games or to even clean the cabins up a bit.
For Camp wide game today we played Dress the Beast!
In this game there are two teams and on each team one counsellor is the “Beast.” Each team has clothes for the opponents beast, as is their job to defend it and stop their beast from being dressed before theirs! This game had some super wacky outfits and was full of smiles all around! Then we had a little snack before we hopped into our social skill of the day; which was what others are feeling. To build on our understanding of this we played a game called “Help! I’m Feeling!” In this game we stood in a circle with one person in the middle. Then a ball would be passed around the circle until the person in the middle calls “Stop!” then the person in the middle would have to act out a scenario and the person with the ball would have to guess what the actor was feeling in the scenario.
After social skill we had a quick 15 minute transition period before lunch where we had chicken strips and fries! We loved it so much we ended up almost finishing two large bins worth of chicken and fries!
But after lunch we were way to tired from our social skill so we went back to our cabins for rest hour right before our choice blocks!

For our choice blocks we had a choice between riding the motor boat, swimming high ropes, or a spa day where you could relax to some calming music, paint your own or each others nails.
After our choices we got into our 2:7 groups to split up for free time.
After dinner we had a little dance party right before our steps in the right direction.
Today flew by so fast! It’s super crazy that tomorrow is already our last full day at camp. We made so many new friends and cannot wait for what tomorrow will bring us!
