ON 1 Tuesday: Social Rules

Today was another great day at camp! We started off our morning with another Polar Bear Dip. Even though it started raining a bit, lots of campers were really excited and determined to get down to the pool in the hopes that they too might get the golden Polar Bear Awards! This awards goes out to the campers that is at Polar Bear dip every day that they have at camp.

Afterwards we got together for breakfast, where we had a pancakes! Yes, you read that right, pancakes and we LOVE pancakes. After breakfast, we went to social skill which was social rules. we talked about how different social situations can have different rules that we aren’t always aware of. Some of them seem pretty simple. For example, when we are at school, we ask to go to the bathroom, but we don’t do that when we are at home. This is an example of a social rule thart can change depending on the location

Following social skill we took a break with lunch followed by rest hour. Campers sure needed the rest before transitioning into our amazing choice activities of swimming, horseback riding, boating or making bead animals! We had so much fun exploring the lake, swimming in the pool meeting the horses and crafting.

After an exciting afternoon we spent time reviewing our camp goals in 2:6 Time. As it is still early in the week, this is the perfect time to replace the goals we have already achieved and adjust where needed. Next, we enjoyed a delicious dinner of chicken, rice and salad before playing a game of Temple of Doom!

We can’t wait to do it all again tomorrow!
