ON 2 Wednesday: What Others are Thinking

Welcome to our third day of camp! Today we started our day with an optional polar dip early in the morning. We then headed down to breakfast, where we had eggs and sausages. We also had cereal and juice for those who wanted it.

After breakfast, we went down for our camp wide game: Human Tracker. In this game, there are 3 hunters looking for the rest of us hidden in the woods, if they find a hider, they must tag them to join the hunters and work together to find the remaining hiders.

Then we got into our 2:6 groups for our social skill of the day: Body Language and What Others are Thinking. Here, we also played a game called “Ninja!” in this game, we stand in a circle and take turns moving to attack each others arms to eliminate them from the game. Here we made the connection that our body language could be used to figure out how we were going to move against the other players, and how this could be a form of communication.

After our social skill we got together to have lunch- crispy chicken wraps! We then went back to our cabins to have rest hour. For choices today we had to pick two from high ropes, swimming, tubing, or a low energy choice like making terrariums, bracelets or braids!

Please use the arrows below to navigate through the images below.

After choices, we had 2:6 time and free time where we had the opportunity to attend free swim at the pool!

Before we knew it, it was time for dinner. We had “Peaceful Pasta,” where we had to keep volume to a minimum to ensure that the hall was peaceful while we ate. This was difficult because we were all excited about the dance party we were going to be having after dinner. Some of us, we danced until our hearts content, and for others we drew and made bracelets until it was time for steps in the right direction.

Tomorrow is our last full day at camp, and we hope it will bring just as many smiles as today did!
