Sunday: Welcome to Overnight Camp!

Welcome to Camp Amicus’ Overnight Blog! We are so excited to have you all at camp for our second session!

After getting everyone prepped for our big roadtrip we headed south from Calgary to the beautiful Eagle’s Nest Ranch in Cypress Hills, where our campers will be spending their week having so much fun!

After arriving we gathered for our community meeting, where we went over the basic rules of camp. We then headed to our cabins to unpack and took a quick tour of camp in our groups. We then made group contracts outlining the things we do and do not want to see at camp with our 2:6 groups, and before we knew it, it was time for supper! Tonight, we had burgers and fries for supper, finished off with ice cream sundaes for dessert. 

After supper, we headed over to our very first campfire of the session, where campers and counsellors sang silly camp songs! After campfire, we moved into Steps in the Right Directions, where we give out stickers as a thank you for awesome things we saw our friends doing that day.

After all that singing the only thing on anyone’s mind was how good we were all going to sleep tonight, so with that we all grabbed a popcorn snack and headed to bed. See you tomorrow!
