Day 8: Bullying
Welcome back! We were so happy to see you all and to be able to be outside in the sunshine!
We began with announcements and our camp wide game of the day, Cardio Pictionary! Campers had to find Quack Quack to receive words to draw for their team. We found out the Quack Quack is very good at hiding.
Next, we moved to the Gathering Place for social skill where we focused on bullying. Spice-E asked us how we identify a bully and what bullying looks like, then gave us an amazing acronym to remember. We recognize bullying with B. O. O which stands for Being mean On purpose Over and over. A question to ask your camper could be, what other ways can you define or recognize bullying?
Next up was clubs, where campers painted with Spice-E in Art Club, played football with Oak in Sports Club and made Minecraft tools with Solstice in Outdoor Skills Club.
We re-hydrated and refueled over lunch before moving into our choice activities. Campers either canoed with T-Bone, made Harry Potter wands with Yoda or did archery with Yogi.
We then transitioned to Steps in the Right Direction where campers and staff highlighted all the positivity and friendships that were made through the day. Afterwards it was home time!
See you tomorrow!
