DC 1 Communication
Welcome back campers! We are excited to have you back for day 3 of camp! After today’s announcements we got right into the Camp Wide Game, today’s game was capture the flag. Building on teamwork and communication skills.
After the camp wide game we refueled and transitioned into social skills! Today’s social skills focused on language and interpretation. Dress the beast was one of today’s social skill activities!
Campers are given two scenarios and compare them both to see how they differentiate.
Date attire was a scenario and a sleepover was one, both require different attires.
Campers learn how to properly understand and read the scenario when asked out on a date compared to a sleepover!
Social rules change overtime as do you. Knowing how to properly see social cues for attire is a huge part of social skills.
Following social skills campers then a choice between clubs! Making fans in Art Club, Gaga ball in Sports Club and leak proof bags in Science Club.
After a lunch break, campers move forward to their first choice of the day! The choices today were Quidditch, Painting plant pots and 9 squares in the air.
As we end today we cap off with steps in the right direction! Campers and counselors give out steps stickers to each other for something they did today! Can’t wait till tomorrow see you then!
