DC 2 Social Rules
Welcome back Campers! We started off today by making our choices for today we also made choices on our swimming preferences and what we wanted to do at our time at village square swimming!
Today’s camp wide game was phobia. Our camp wide alt game was making planes and bracelets. Camp Counselors chose a phobia, the campers tried to guess the phobia based on the reaction from the camp counselor. Walking on two legs phobia, dandelion phobia, pool noodle phobia just to name a few. Campers used hula hoops to guide the counselors back with their answers. Each group tallied up their scores on how many they got right.

Campers fueled up with a snack break they transitioned to social skills. Our social skill today was social rules, social rules are hidden unwritten rules that are acceptable in social situations.
One group broke up into two and made up a secret rule to enter the other group's community .
Another group had a scavenger hunt to find social rules. Items on the scavenger hunt represented different social rules that the campers need to identify in different locations.
After the activities campers wrote down a social rule on a piece of paper or a Popsicle stick
Social skills are dynamic and are always changing when you grow up as well as the environment, campers learn how to identify and react to social cues.
After campers transition towards clubs, the clubs for today are playing Frisbee in the sports club, drawing in art club and making bottle paper rockets in science club.
Following a needed lunch break campers transition towards choices they picked earlier today. Making slime time campaign posters, water games and archery.
The campers switched it up with their choices for the second choice block today. Following we ended off today with steps in the right direction, what a great day today. Make sure you bring your bathing suit tomorrow for swimming at village square!
