DC 1 Personal Problem Solving
Welcome back to Camp Amicus we are all ready for day 3! We are off to the main field after we have a quick talk about what we want to do tomorrow at Telus Spark!
After announcements campers head towards camp wide game! Todays camp wide game was human tracker! There are the humans and the human trackers. The human trackers need to find and tag the hidden humans until they are no more humans just the trackers! At Camp Wide Alt campers drew and coloured!
Today Social Skill are personal solving problems!
Campers started in a circle each camper continued the story that was created waiting till they’re turn to say their story. This starts the ball rolling when a situation comes up campers know to adapt and adjust with the story just when a personal problem comes up!
After campers were tasked with trying to solve a maze by guessing the correct colours of pylons to pass the maze successfully. Campers worked together to help remind each other what the order of the colours was if they got it incorrect.
Passing any test can be difficult but it's impossible to say if we didn't try it out for ourselves and make adjustments if we make mistakes. Suppose we didn’t try out different techniques as well as the previous knowledge we had by failing.
After social skill campers transition towards clubs. Sports club played hockey, science made crystals and art club finger knitted!
Campers refuel with lunch and head towards their first choice. Campers choose this morning between pirate school making pirates hat starboard, fort dodge ball, bracelet making.
Campers finish the day with switching up their last choice! Afterwards we are headed towards Steps in the right direction to end of the day! We are off to Telus Spark tomorrow be sure to bring your camp shirt!
