DC 1 Personal Problem Solving

Welcome back to Camp Amicus! Today before we start off our camp wide game campers get to choose their choices for today and for tomorrow the type of rides they want to ride!

We are off! Today’s Camp Wide Game was Human Scrabble Campers were tasked to come up with a word that was relating towards camp. Each camper ran towards a counsellor and tagged them once they got tagged campers were asked to complete a dance, handshake to get their letter of choice.

Today’s Social Skill was personal problem-solving. In one of the activities, campers were tasked with trying to memorize a code and rush back to communicate it to their team. In another activity, campers locked arms back to back and tried to find where other campers hid the hacky sack. Campers worked together to help each other solve problems by adapting to the situation while working with each other. Asking for help even when we have an idea of what we are doing, can help bring in different ideas & perspectives to solve more problems.

After a quick refuel snack time! Sports club played basketball, Art club made string cardboard letters and Science club made floating paper boats!

After lunch break campers head towards their choices for the day. Today’s choices were slime campaign, pokemon go and soccer!

Camper’s switch up their choices and we cap off our day with steps in the right direction! We are off to calaway tomorrow be sure to bring your camp shirt, water bottle and sunscreen.
