Day 8: Teamwork
We can hardly believe we have one more day left of camp. We started off this morning with another game of, “What Do you Meme”. Counsellors hid and campers had to, again, chase them down and complete a challenge to get a meme card. Campers worked together to choose the best meme card to match the image on the screen in the gym.

Today’s skill is all about teamwork. Campers, do you remember what kinds of qualities make a good team member? Communication, listening, collaboration, positivity, and being supportive are all great qualities to have in a team member. What makes good teamwork? Having a common goal in mind, listening to each person’s perspective, and working together to troubleshoot.

For clubs today, we painted scenes of nature in Art/Music, made elephant toothpaste in STEM, and worked on our volleyball skills in Sports club.

After clubs, we had lunch before transitioning into choice. For our three choices today we had: belly kickball, super-secret spy training, and making dream catchers. Belly kickball was tons of fun because instead of running to a base, we got to jump onto massive mats that where there instead. In super-secret spy training, we made ourselves identification cards, worked on our interrogation skills and then set up an obstacle course. As we went through our course, we had to dodge balls and use our super-stealth skills, like slow motion, to make it to the end. Finally, we made dreamcatchers, worked on finishing up some of our artwork from the week and listened to some calming music.
That’s all for today. We look forward to seeing you tomorrow for our last day of camp!
