Today’s Social skill is Language and Interpretation! Campers begin with playing telephone charades a camper is given an idiom “ You and me are on the same boat. “ They whisper the idiom down the line and the last person is tasked to act out the charade!

Language & Interpretation can be tough because everything especially language can be interpreted in different ways, especially with a wide-ranging diversity of people! Especially when it is passed down with multiple voices things can be skewed so it is best to ask questions and clarify the situation.

Campers also play apples and apples where campers get a noun for example “tacos” they are then given multiple adjective cards and are tasked with matching one they think suits it the best! Campers had different interpretations of tacos one used the word slimy and another huge!

Campers transition towards their clubs for the day before lunch! Sports club played hockey, Science club made bottle rockets and Art club made melty beads!

After lunch campers switch towards their choices of the day! Choice’s were dungeons and dragons game after creating their characters yesterday. Another choice was boom wackers and the last choice was 4 net soccer!

We end off our day with steps in the right direction, where campers and counsellors reflect throughout the day and give out step stickers for anyone they think did something amazing at camp today!
