DC 3 What other people thinking

Wow, can you believe we’re already in the finish line of camp? It feels like just yesterday we started in the early morning dew, with fresh faces and the joy for creating friendships and amazing memories. We start off the day with announcements and we are off to camp wide!

Today’s Camp Wide Game was Temple of Doom! It was pouring outside so we played inside. There are three teams, one needs to get through successfully to the goal to get the treasure from the temple of doom and make it back without getting hit by a barrage of dodgeballs on both sides!

Today’s Social Skill is What other people are thinking!

Campers begin with 20 questions! A counselor thinks of a noun. A person, a place, or a thing. Campers have 20 questions to guess what it is, sometimes this can be nearly impossible! It's not till the tail end of the questions we can start gauging what other people are thinking or in this case the noun! We can’t know what someone is thinking without asking them and asking more in-depth questions will lead to a better understanding of what they are thinking!

Campers are given a topic "What is your favorite hockey team or pineapple on pizza?" Campers write down their opinion whether they like it or not and mingle with each other as campers disagree and agree and talk about their opinions! This helps us understand that not everyone is thinking the same thing and it is ok to have different opinions!

Campers head towards their clubs for the day! Sports club played frisbee golf, art club made paper craft kites and science club made egg drop parachutes!

Campers switch to their choices for the day! Archery, bead making and dodgeball were today’s choices!

We finish our day with our last switch of choices and are cap it off with steps in the right direction! Hope everyone has an amazing rest of the day and we will see you tomorrow for calaway make sure to bring your camp shirt!
