Day 6: Friendship
Welcome back to another wonderful week at camp! Due to the smoky weather, we transitioned all of our activities inside for the day. We started off our morning with announcements before moving into a camp wide game of cardio pictionary. In this game, campers track down counsellors who provide them with a word that they draw for fellow campers to guess.

After camp wide game, we had a snack and some water before transitioning to our social skill of the day- friendship! Brontosaurus and Aurora lead us through a discussion about the qualities that are important in friendships and some skills we can use when making new friendships. With Aurora, we discussed the importance of creating a space for our friendships where we can grow. In order to do so, we must support our friends, be trustworthy, provide support while also having our friends support us too, listen, and be attentive. With Bronto, we partook in a variety of activities to discuss the different qualities of a good and bad friendship. A good question to potentially as your camper may be, what are some qualities that make a good friendship?

Up next, it was time for clubs! In STEM Club, we made elephant toothpaste, in Art/Music Club, we made coffee filter art, and in Sports Club, we played badminton!
After clubs, it was time for lunch and then choice! This afternoon, campers chose from Minecraft Crafts with Gecko, Quidditch with Phoenix, and Tye Dye with Ember.

To end our day, we had Steps in the Right Direction and some free time before pick up.
That’s all for today, but we are so excited to see you all again tomorrow for another fun filled day of camp!
