Day 7: Communication
Today was another fun-filled day at camp! We started our morning with announcements before jumping into a camp wide game of human scrabble- ocean edition! Campers worked together to get the letters needed for the words they needed to spell from Bullseye and Ember. Words ranged from goggles, to hammerhead shark.

After camp wide game, we had a snack and a drink of water before transitioning to our social skill - communication! Like many of the social skills we focus on here at camp, communication is a vital skill that all of us use in our everyday lives. Radar and Bluejay taught us about the five main types of communication. A good question to potentially ask your camper may be, what is your preferred form of communication? We discussed verbal, non-verbal, written, visual, and listening. All five of these forms of communication are incredibly important and we might use different variations in different situations.
After social skill, we divided into our clubs. In STEM Club, we made lava lamps, in Art/Music Club we made spoon drums and practiced for our performance on Friday. In Sports Club, we had time to create our own games!

Following clubs, it was time for lunch and some free time before beginning our choice activities. This afternoon, campers chose from games and crafts with Bullseye and Violet, handball/monster ball with Bronto, or yoyo making with Atlas!
We ended our day with Steps in the Right Direction and some free time before heading home. That’s all for today, but we are looking forward to seeing you all tomorrow for our theme day- Ocean Edition. Feel free to come dressed to camp like your favourite ocean related character!
