ON 5 - Day 3: Personal Problem Solving

It’s already the middle of the week and we can’t believe how fast time is flying by here at camp! We started off our third day of camp with a polar plunge, but this time with a twist! We got to do it in the POND. Many campers came down and braved the cold(ish) pond waters.

For breakfast we had breakfast wraps with orange slices, and then moved into our morning 2:6 time.

Camp wide game was up next which was a game of TEMPLE OF DOOM, an absolute camp favourite.

We then transitioned into Social Skills with today’s social skill being “Personal Problem Solving”. We talked about how problems can come in different sizes, and how we could be experiencing a big problem when a friend may see the same exact problem as small in comparison. We played tarp flip and human knot, two great games for our campers to work through problem solving, practice leadership and learn how they personally go about problem solving!

Lunch was yummy chicken nuggets with fries and carrot sticks which led us right into rest hour and then choice!

Our choice blocks for today were swimming, comic book making, and dodgeball. All three were so much fun!

We had a little bit of free time before heading back to the chalet for dinner, which was hotdogs.

Capture the flag was up next for the second camp wide game of the day. There was some fierce competition on both sides, as each team tried their best to capture the opposing team’s flag.

We ended our day as we always do with handing out steps. After such a wonderful day, there were plenty of steps being handed out to everyone!

It was then time to head to bed and get some much needed rest for our penultimate day of camp! See you all tomorrow.
